 Itinerary

Day1: Arrival at Guwahati airport + Wildlife sanctuary

After a safe landing at Lokpriyo Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport at Guwahati, meet your cab driver outside to heed towards the hotel. Relax yourself a bit and then leave to visit the Probitora Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a travel of around 1-1.5 hours by road from your hotel.

Day2: Temple tour + Cruise with dinner

Start your day with the famous Kamakhaya temple, dedicated to goddess Parvati in between 08:00- 13:00 hours. It is known as the “shakti shrine of India.” After the temple darshan spend some time at either of the nearby places- The Gandhi mandap on the hill top or the Botanical Garden cum Zoo. Spend the evening by sailing across the calm waters of the mighty Brahmaputra in the Alfredo Grand Cruise. Make your booking an hour before you intend to sail. The famous sunset cruise is all you need after the tiring day to sit back and enjoy the serenity of Guwahati. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day3: Kaziranga National Park

Leave early after having your breakfast for the Kaziranga National Park. 4 Hours ride via NH 27. Kaziranga is the only place in India to have conserved the existing 1 horned rhinoceros. Few other wildlife species to be looked for are- Bengal tiger, wild water buffalo, Indian dog deer, red headed vulture, etc. Book the safari package and take the entire tour of the wildlife park. You can also pre-book a room at Kaziranga.

Day4: Towards Shillong

Get up early in the morning and travel towards the Kakochang Waterfalls, 25km from Kaziranga National Park. This is a beautiful serene waterfall to have some lively experience. Have your lunch and then proceed towards Shilong. Stay overnight at Shillong.

Day5: Day trip to Cherrapunjee

Cherrrapunjee is a 1-day tour. It is advisable to start early at around 7-8am. Start your day trip with the Laitkor Peak’s view point- to have a comprehensive view of the entire Shillong town. Do not forget to carry your identity proof as you may be asked for it, being the view point located in the midst of airforce campus.  Then, heed towards the beautiful elephant falls, the sunset at the Mawdok valley, get a wordly experience at the Laitmawsiang caves, Thangkharang Park and the Ramakrishna mission. Stay overnight in Shilong.

Day6: Mawlynnong Village

Commonly known as the “God’s own garden”, Mawlynnong is the cleanest village of Assam. A tour to Asaam is incomplete without going to this green village in the Eat Khalli Hills of Meghalaya. Experience the livelyhood and the famous tree houses. Stay overnight at Shilong.

Day7: Departure from Guwahati

Leave for the Guwahati airport as per your flight schedule. It generally takes 3 hours via road from Shillong to Guwahati.
